About Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital
The Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital offering high quality, low-cost medical care to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots. Veterans can adopt a program eligible pet through the organization’s shelter operation, Richmond SPCA, where they receive a generous adoption fee discount and pet supplies.
The goal of the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital is to help families stay together and help pets enjoy a greater quality of life. The Hospital cares for pets of individuals who are income-qualified, as well as animals in the custody of local shelters, municipal animal controls, pets adopted from the Richmond SPCA after March 5, 2012 and others.
The doctors and staff at the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital are all pet lovers who are devoted to the highest standards of animal welfare. The hospital is licensed and experienced in all aspects of preventative, wellness and surgical care, and offers a wide range of services for companion animals.
