About River City Community Animal Hospital
River City Community Animal Hospital (RCCAH) is a lower-fee, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) mobile spay/neuter hospital serving communities across Northeast Florida and Southeastern Georgia on a rotating basis. RCCAH ensures that each patient receives exceptional personalized care through consultation with the veterinarian. The staff at RCCAH is committed to increasing educational opportunities for responsible and committed pet stewardship, and provides detailed printed educational information to all clients.
RCCAH works collaboratively with many rescue groups and shelters, including Jacksonville Humane Society, another Pets for Patriots partner. The mobile hospital’s weekly ‘spay day’ serves many communities comprised of military families, both active and retired. Coverage areas include Jacksonville, Florida, as well as Kingsland, Kings Bay and St. Marys communities in Georgia.
In addition to its goal to make spay/neuter surgery and basic wellness care both affordable and personalized, RCCAH’s goals are to encourage pet adoption and discourage pet sales and puppy mill breeding, as well as to raise public awareness of the tragedy of euthanasia of adoptable homeless pets. The practice is licensed in complete medical, wellness and surgical care, and offers essential medical services for companion animals.
