Macon County Animal Control & Care Center

Macon County Animal Control and Care Center offers dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots members in the Decatur area.

The municipal facility is under the direct supervision of the Macon County Sheriff’s Department which, in addition to pet adoptions, is responsible for the enforcement of all animal welfare laws and the prosecution of abuse.

Macon County Animal Control and Care Center is supported through a municipal budget and through donations made to the Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation. In addition to funding capital projects and spay/neuter, the Foundation funds the adoption fees for all veterans. View available pets.
