Humane Society of Wayne County offers dog and cat adoptions to Lyons area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

As part of its mission to help animals in need, Humane Society of Wayne County receives animals from the public as well as local animal control officers. In addition, the shelter emphasizes the importance of spay/neuter to control pet overpopulation humanely and, in cooperation with area veterinarians, offers a low-cost spay/neuter program to assist income-qualifying families.
