About DFW Humane Society of Irving
DFW Humane Society of Irving offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends. Established in 1967, the shelter works cooperatively with the City of Irving Animal Services and other area animal welfare organizations to rescue and re-home animals in need.
In addition to companion pet adoption DFW Humane Society of Irving offers a spay/neuter voucher program to help reduce pet overpopulation. Their Guardian Angel Fund provides medical care for pets at the shelter, from heartworm treatment to major surgery. The shelter’s Angel for Keeps Pet Retention Program offers a range of support to pet guardians experiencing temporary hardship in order for them to keep their pets.
DFW Humane Society of Irving is welcomes monetary and in-kind donations, including various pet food, toys, and kennel supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
