City of Newport Animal Control

The City of Newport Animal Control offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends.

In addition to pet adoption, The City of Newport Animal Control investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints, enforces local and state animal-related laws, and provides a pet lost and found. The municipal shelter provides dog licensing and microchip services, and offers referrals for local spay/neuter. The goal of Animal Control is to educate and encourage responsible pet ownership while being a resource for animal welfare issues that impact the community.
