About Champaign County Humane Society
The Champaign County Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends. Established in 1889 as a branch of the Illinois Humane Society, it is funded entirely by donations from individuals and local businesses.
As part of the shelter’s commitment to the rehabilitation and health of animals in its charge, the Champaign County Humane Society has both full- and part-time veterinary and medical staff on premises. In addition, the organization offers various opportunities for humane education, pet behavior training and a Pet Pals Club for children ages 10-15.
The Champaign County Humane Society welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of medical, office and cleaning supplies, as well as various pet-related items. For a more hands-on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
