About Arizona Animal Welfare League
The Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA offers dog and cat adoptions to Phoenix-area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them in find their new best friend. Founded in 1971, the organization is the state’s oldest and largest no-kill shelter.
As part of its mission to end the unnecessary deaths of shelter animals and promote responsible pet ownership, the Arizona Animal Welfare League offers various pet training classes, as well as education programs for children and teens. To help people care for their pets affordably, the Arizona Animal Welfare League operates low-cost vaccine and microchip clinics that are open to the public.
The Arizona Humane Society welcomes monetary donations, in addition to a wide range of pet food, collars, maintenance items and office supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands-on experience, consider becoming one of their valued volunteers or a pet foster.
