ACTion Programs for Animals

ACTion Programs for Animals offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans in Dona Ana County through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

The shelter maintains a pet food program, helps people find alternatives to pet surrender, and offers both feral cat and Pit Bull advocacy programs. Since 2016, ACTion Programs for Animals runs the Prisoners and Animals Working Toward Success, or P.A.W.S. program. Dogs selected for this opportunity receive training and rehabilitation to increase their adoption potential.

ACTion Programs for Animals welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of pet food at various donation bins around Las Cruces. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
