Two years connecting veterans and last-chance pets

Pets for Patriots website

At Pets for Patriots, we’re offering new ways to connect veterans with last-chance pets as part of a major relaunch in celebration of our two-year anniversary.

Since receiving our not-for-profit status, Pets for Patriots has transformed more than 100 lives of pet and person through our honorable adoption program. Veterans who have benefited from our charity range from a young Air Force couple who saved a three-legged Great Dane to a 90 year-old WWII veteran whose adoption of a little dog named Gizmo was a one-in-a-million event.

Since its launch, Pets for Patriots has started its program in 30 states and we aim to be in every state by 2013.

To help achieve this goal, Pets for Patriots is working with Austin-based AscendWorks for database customization, marketing automation and website design. Moved by our mission, AscendWorks donated most of its time and continues to work with us to create the infrastructure, processes and tools to support our continued growth, as well as to give people who come to our site an amazing experience.

“Pets for Patriots serves our country’s heroes and helps them with their emotional and practical needs,” says Don Dalrymple, AscendWorks president. “They save pets and soldiers. We are glad to help make a difference and facilitate a beautiful process of helping our nation’s heroes. It is inspiring and we are glad to be part of helping the cause.”

The new Pets for Patriots website offers many helpful features, including:

Perhaps not coincidentally our site relaunched last week, just in time for Veterans’ Day.
Whether you’re an old friend or someone new to our cause, welcome to our journey. We hope you find it to be as inspiring, meaningful and humbling for you as it is for all of us.
best,
Beth Zimmerman

    Hi Beth,

A few days ago I read an October interview article about you over on the Pet Meds blog and enjoyed it quite a bit. In their comments section I mentioned that I’m a big fan of Pets For Patriots.

Congratulations and my appreciation for helping so many pets find forever homes and for giving both the pets and the veterans a new lease on life.

I hope you meet your 2013 goal of being in every state.

I enjoy the stories here, I like interacting on your blog, and I support your valuable mission.

    Thanx,
