The Rhode Island SPCA offers dog and cat adoptions to Riverside area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.
Founded in 1870, the Rhode Island SPCA accepts only owner surrendered pets and has an adoption rate of more than 94%. It is uniquely authorized in the state to investigate and prosecute animal cruelty cases, and aims to end all forms of animal abuse.
As part of its commitment to reduce animal surrender, Rhode Island SPCA operates a low-cost veterinary clinic for need-based elderly, disabled, and low income residents of Rhode Island.
The Rhode Island SPCA welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
