About Ventura County Animal Services

Ventura County Animal Services offers dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots members and will assist them in finding their new best friend. The shelter maintains various programs as part of its goal to become no-kill, including partnering with more than 100 animal rescue groups, piloting a ‘pet adoption shop’ in a local retail mall and maintaining offsite option events every weekend.

The shelter features a wonderful communal room for cats and has an active bunny program as well. In addition to pet adoptions, Ventura County Animal Services is responsible to protect area animals from cruelty and neglect, to impound and treat stray or sick animals, to assist with animal evacuations during disasters and other vital community functions.
