About Tinker’s Dream

Tinker’s Dream offers Newfoundland dog adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. The foster-based rescue trains and adopts out Newfoundlands and Newfoundland mixes, and places these dogs as therapy, assistance and service animals. All dogs are rescued in partnership with other rural shelters and rescues, and given proper training and socialization to increase their adoption potential.

Tinker’s Dream is committed to responsible pet ownership and provides no-cost dog training for its dogs to qualify for AKC S.T.A.R. good puppy or Good Canine Citizen certification. In addition, they are expanding Tinker’s Tails, a Reading Education Assistance Dog program, into the middle school to reduce the stress of learning to read.

Tinker’s Dream is currently seeking volunteers to work with the dogs, foster homes and funding to expand their programs.
