About The Ark Animal Shelter
The Ark Animal Shelter provides dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots members and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. The no-kill organization provides care, rehabilitation and rehoming to animals in Washington County that are homeless, unwanted or displaced.
As part of its mission to reduce pet overpopulation and encourage responsible pet ownership, The Ark offers free educational information to school, clubs, civic groups and others, and maintains a financial assistance program to help individuals who could not otherwise afford to spay or neuter their pet. In addition, the shelter's Golden Years Program offers no-fee dog and cat adoptions to senior citizens ($15 rabies fee applies).
The Ark Animal Shelter welcomes monetary donations, and operates a thrift shop whose proceeds benefits the organization's work.
Adoption fees include:
Spay/neuter surgery
Vaccinations
Distemper, Parvo, kennel cough and rabies vaccinations (dogs; age appropriate)
Upper respiratory, distemper and rabies vaccinations (cats; age appropriate)
Feline leukemia/FIV test (cats)
Heartworm test (dogs)
Flea and worm treatments, as needed

Tuesday: 12pm-6pmWednesday - Friday: 12pm-4pm
Saturday: 12pm-6pm
