About South Suburban Humane Society
The South Suburban Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots members and will help them find their new best friend. Founded in 1971, the organization is dedicated to promoting the well being of animals in the communities they serve through the care and sheltering of animals needing protection, investigative practices that will prevent abuse, public education as to ownership responsibilities and providing adoption services.
As part of its commitment to responsible pet ownership, the South Suburban Humane Society operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to help prevent pet overpopulation. To support its mission, the South Suburban Humane Society welcomes monetary donations and operates two thrift shops. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers, event helpers or fundraisers, or apply for one of their unpaid student internships in PR/marketing, education or criminal justice.
