About Outreach to Pets In Need

Outreach to Pets In Need (OPIN) offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in cooperation with the Stamford Animal Care and Control Shelter (SACC) and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. OPIN provides volunteers, program funding and access to veterinary and animal behavior professionals to the SACC shelter as part of its mission to decrease pet overpopulation. OPIN focuses on training or retraining relinquished dogs and cats to increase their chances of permanent adoption. In addition to educational, medical, training and adoption programs, OPIN works in partnership with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center to provide pet foster care for victims of domestic violence.
