About Nuts for Mutts Rescue

Nuts for Mutts Rescue is an all volunteer, all-breed dog rescue in Rochester, New York and will help Pets for Patriots members find their new best friend. Their mission is to rescue surrendered, stray, abused or neglected dogs, and provide them sanctuary, medical care and re-homing. As part of their commitment to responsible pet ownership, Nuts for Mutts Rescue educates the public on the plight of homeless dogs, the benefits of pet adoption, the importance of spay/neuter and the proper care of dogs. All dogs are cared for in foster homes, where they receive proper care, socialization and basic training prior to adoption.

Nuts for Mutts Rescue accepts all dogs regardless of breed, size, age or medical condition as long as a suitable foster home and the financial means to provide for animal's medical care are available. Priority is given to dogs who come to the rescue from abuse or neglect situations, shelter turnovers, owner surrenders or other situations that might place the dog in imminent danger of homelessness, injury, neglect or death.

The organization welcomes monetary donations, but for a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
