About Naperville Area Humane Society
Naperville Area Humane Society offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Naperville and surrounding communities. Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1979 to develop and implement animal welfare programs and services within Naperville and surrounding communities. Their goal is to protect animals and prevent animal suffering.
As a limited-admission shelter, Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) accepts cats and dogs from owners who find it necessary to relinquish their pets as well as from other organizations that lack the cage space or resources necessary to ensure the animals are given a second chance. Pets are never euthanized for cage space.
NAHS strives to make appropriate, permanent matches between adopters and our cat and dog friends. Each animal receives veterinary care, a behavior evaluation and lots of tender loving care from a very dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
The Naperville Area Humane Society is committed to responsible pet ownership and offers various humane education programs, including after school programs, shelter tours, summer day camps, and a reading program.
