About Lake City Humane Society
The Lake City Humane Society offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Serving the northern Florida community since 1963, Lake City Humane provides a pet foster program for individuals who require long term care for their pet due to illness or other event. In addition, the organization accept owner-surrender pets, handles area animal control and operates a pet food bank that is open to the public.
Adoption fees include:
Voucher for a free exam from any local veterinarian
Kennel lead
Spay/neuter surgery
Current vaccinations
Worming (if needed)
Microchipping for pet identification ($10)
30 days free shelter care insurance (adopter must activate)

Monday - Thursday 10am-5pmFriday 10am-4:30pm
Saturday 1pm-5pm
