About Humane Society of Richland County
The Humane Society of Richland County offers dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots members and will help them find their new best friend. Their mission is to provide safe and humane treatment for the animals of Richland County, to offer humane education to the public and to assist with or initiate prosecution of those who mistreat animals.
The Humane Society of Richland County is an active and visible presence in the communities it serves, including its Hot Dog trailer for mobile fundraising, and monthly adoption events at area Petsmart, Pet Supplies Plus and Tractor Supply stores. As part of its commitment to reduce animal overpopulation and cruelty, the shelter offers two low cost spay/neuter programs that are available to the public.
The Humane Society of Richland County welcomes monetary donations, as well as in-kind contributions of pet food and toys, towels, newspaper and cleaning supplies; see their urgent needs list for details. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
