About Hudson Valley SPCA
The Hudson Valley SPCA offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Orange County and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Originally chartered in 1889 as the Newburgh SPCA, the organization has since become a no-kill shelter. To reflect the reach of its operations, in 2009 the shelter was renamed Hudson Valley SPCA - Orange County, and remains committed to responsible pet ownership and the prevention of cruelty towards animals. To this end, it is implementing a multi-year plan to provide low-cost spay/neuter services to the public.
In addition to pet adoption, the Hudson Valley SPCA offers shelter, medical care and behavioral attention to abused and neglected animals until such time that they can be placed in an appropriate and loving home.
The Hudson Valley SPCA welcomes monetary donations, in addition to a wide range of pet, cleaning and office supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands-on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
