About Hinsdale Humane Society

The Hinsdale Humane Society offers dog and cat adoptions to veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots, and will help them find their new best friends. Founded in 1953, the shelter is dedicated to the rescue, care and adoption of homeless animals.

As part of its commitment to humane education, the Hinsdale Humane Society offers a wide range of programs for children of all ages to learn about respect for all living things, in addition to a summer camp where children entering grades 4-6 can learn more about the animal world.

Hinsdale Humane Society welcomes monetary donations as well as in-kind contributions of animal care, laundry, cleaning and office supplies; see their site for a complete wish list. For a more hands on opportunity, become one of their valued volunteers or pet fosters.
