About German Shepherd Rescue Inc.
German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. offers German Shepherd and shepherd mix dog adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in northern Illinois. Operating since 1996, the organization fosters all dogs until adoption, during which time they receive medical care and socialization in a home setting. To increase awareness of these dogs in the community, the group participates in adoption events at area PetSmart stores.
To support the ongoing care of the animals in its charge, German Shepherd Rescue operates a sponsor program for those who would like to help a dog, but who are unable to adopt or foster. Contributions starting at $10 help the organization pay for a range of necessary medical care.
German Shepherd Rescue accepts monetary donations. In addition, it is in need of additonal foster homes and program sponsors.
Adoption fees include:
Vaccinations, including rabies
Fecal and heartworm testing
Spay/neuter
Microchip for permanent identification
