About Dumb Friends League
The Dumb Friends League offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Colorado and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Founded in 1910, the Dumb Friends League is the largest animal welfare organization in the Rocky Mountain region, and provides shelter and care to more than 25,000 lost or abandoned animals each year.
Dumb Friends League has a wide range of services available to adopters and the community at large, including educational programs, resources for bereaved pet owners and information on pet friendly housing. In addition to its main facility, the League operates its Buddy Center, a 16,000 square foot shelter located in Douglas County. The organization is a member of the Metro Denver Shelter Alliance, which aims to increase pet adoptions and reunions throughout the Denver community.
Adoption fees include:
Preliminary vaccinations for commonly occurring illnesses and infections
Spay/neuter surgery
Complete medical exam
Microchip for permanent identification
Free first veterinary office visit by a member of the Denver Veterinary Medical Society
Bag of Science Diet pet food
