About Delaware Humane Association
The Delaware Humane Association offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Founded in 1957, the Delaware Humane Association is its state’s first no-kill animal shelter and adoption center. As part of its commitment to responsible pet ownership and education, the Delaware Humane Association offers low-cost vaccination and wellness clinics, affordable spay/neuter services and various educational workshops.
The Delaware Humane Association offers several programs in support of the person-pet bond. In cooperation with community partners, it offers age- and skill-specific dog obedience training classes and participates in an innovative, nationwide Pets for the Elderly program, providing adoption fee discounts and other benefits to individuals who qualify.
The Delaware Humane Association welcomes monetary donations, in addition to a wide range of pet and cleaning supplies; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands-on experience, consider becoming one of their valued volunteers or a pet foster.
