About Danbury Animal Welfare Society

Danbury Animal Welfare Society (DAWS) offers dog and cat adoptions to Danbury area veterans through its partnership with Pets for Patriots.

As part of its commitment to the most vulnerable animals in its community, Danbury Animal Welfare Society operates various innovative programs, including a Senior-to-Senior discount adoption program. Its Angel Pet Program defrays some costs for special needs animals that have chronic medical issues, and provides adopters of those animals use of their on-site veterinary clinic for specific medications and tests for the animal’s life. The clinic is not otherwise available for post-adoption or emergency medical needs.

Danbury Animal Welfare Society welcomes monetary and in-kind donations; see their complete wish list for details. For a more hands on experience become one of their valued volunteers or fosters.
