About Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society
The Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Serving the northern Florida community since 1963, Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society provides a pet foster program for individuals who require long term care for their pet due to illness or other event. In addition, the organization accept owner-surrender pets, handles area animal control and operates a pet food bank that is open to the public.
As part of their commitment to humane education and responsible pet ownership, the organization offers low-cost spay/neuter services, pet-assisted therapy visitation, dog training classes and pet care seminars.
The Lake City-Columbia County Humane Society welcomes monetary donations. For a more hands on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
Adoption fee includes:
Voucher for a free exam from any local veterinarian
Kennel lead
Spay/neuter surgery
Current vaccinations
Worming (if needed)
Microchipping for pet identification ($10)
Free examination at participating veterinarian
One free canine training class (dogs)
30 days free shelter care insurance (adopter must activate)

Tuesday – Thursday 10am-5pm
Friday 10am-4:00pm
Saturday 1pm-4pm
