About Great Plains Pointer Rescue
Great Plains Pointer Rescue provides German Shorthair and Pointer dog adoptions to members of our program in Nebraska and Iowa. Founded in 2008, the organization is dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and rehoming German Shorthairs and Pointers who find themselves in shelters. The rescue is comprised of volunteer foster homes in which the dogs receive medical care, training, socialization and love prior to adoption.
Great Plains Pointer Rescue is passionate about breed education and responsible pet ownership, and provides a range of informational resources on its site. In addition, the rescue offers a discount adoption program for senior dogs who, through no fault of their own, are homeless at a mature age.
The organization welcomes monetary donations, as well as applicants who are interested to volunteer or foster.
