About Bastrop County Animal Shelter

The Bastrop County Animal Shelter offers adult dog and cat adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Southeast Texas and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. The shelter has many wonderful adult dogs, cats and large dogs available for adoption at its three-building complex, which includes indoor/outdoor kennels and four play yards. The Friends of Bastrop County Animal Shelter is an affiliated charitable organization whose mission is to increase adoptions at the shelter and support the humane treatment of animals in their care.

The Bastrop County Animal Shelter welcomes donations of dog and cat food, and ‘day one’ pet essentials; please contact them directly to inquire about their needs and product donation requirements. For a more hands-on experience, become one of their valued volunteers.
