About Arizona Humane Society
The Arizona Humane Society offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots and will assist them in selecting their new best friend. Founded in 1957, the organization not only offers adoptions, but advocates for humane legislation, provides low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for the public, operates the largest shelter-based trauma center in the Southwest and features a foster program for pets of deployed military and those affected by domestic violence.
As a resource and voice in the community for animal welfare, the Arizona Humane Society offers a wide range of innovative programs and services. For example, to teach children compassion towards animals, Arizona Humane Society offers Humane Education camps and birthday parties where celebrants can interact with adoptable pets.
In addition to its two main adoption campuses, the Arizona Humane Society operates two public wellness clinics for low-cost spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations and microchipping, a mobile clinic that travels throughout the Valley, and two retail and adoption centers, Petique at Biltmore Fashion Park and Petopia at Desert Sky Mall. Individuals with a valid military ID or DD214 receive a 10% discount on clinic service fees.
