About Animal Welfare League of Arlington
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington offers dog and cat adoptions to members of our Pets for Patriots program and will assist them in finding their new best friend. Founded in 1944, the organization is dedicated to improving the lives of stray, abused and neglected animals in Northern Virginia. Soon after, the League assumed a range of additional responsibilities, including holding lost animals til owners could be located, removing injured or dead animals from the street, and treating sick and injured pets.
As part of its commitment to humane animal education and community involvement, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington offers a range of programs, including low-cost spay/neuter, a veterinary assistance fund and rabies clinics, as well as educational programs such as summer camps for children.
The Animal Welfare League of Arlington accepts monetary donations, as well as contributions of pet, office and cleaning supplies. See their complete wish list for details.

Spay/neuter surgery
Heartworm test (dogs)
Bordatella vaccinations (dogs)
Feline leukemia/FIV test (cats)
Distemper vaccinations
Personalized ID tag
Microchip for permanent identification
Information packet and emergency sticker
Certificate for free exam with a participating veterinarian
Free phone consultation or $30 off a training session with Fur-Get-Me-Not (dogs)

Saturday – Sunday: 12pm-4pm
