Adams County Animal Shelter offers pet adoptions to Pets for Patriots member Patriots in Adams County and nearby communities of Thornton and Northglenn. In addition to pet adoptions, the organization handles all aspects of animal control within unincorporated Adams County, including licensing and pet lost and found.

As part of its commitment to humane education, the Adams County Animal Shelter offers a PUP Program to teach children how to be responsible pet owners, why the shelter exists and how it operates.
